*TRIGGER WARNING* This episode highlights scriptures that acknowledge rape as a violent crime and emphasize the innocence of the victims. Also touches on God's anger and judgment towards the wicked, as well as his love and understanding towards survivors. Strength Through Suffering

2023-07-122:11:04

Megan Rae Herrera *WARNING SENSITIVE * It's important to acknowledge that being saved does not mean that you will never feel sad, mad, or hurt again. If anything it means that God is going to begin a spiritual healing over you. Healing that causes you to first be stripped of everything you thought you knew. Having a relationship with God doesn't mean you won't feel pain, but instead you are not alone. In a broken world, pain is constant, but in a relationship with God there is meaning and purpose in the midst of pain.

Highly Favored

2023-07-0551:54

Why is it so hard for you to believe that you are truly highly favored and that God has a plan and a purpose for you? Is it because any time you fall short of your own expectation you want to rip away all that God has called you to be, because you don't feel worthy? God doesn't change his mind about you just because you trip, wether it's a minor trip or we fall off the side of Grand Canyon itself. He catches us every time. In this episode I talk about why you are highly favored, and how to keep holding on to that truth on your lowest days.

Just the idea of reading the Bible can seem extremely overwhelming for some people. Often seen as a rule book, and who wants to read the terms and agreements of life? Unfortunately many have been lead to believe that the Bible is just a long list of Do’s and Don’ts. When in reality it’s a book full of stories of broken people with plenty of pain.
