Episode 41-2026 – The Samaritan Woman at The Well

2026-10-119:48

Good morning. Today we continue the series of meditations from John's Gospel started last Sunday. Today, we continue our focus on the passage in which Jesus spoke with a Samaritan woman at a well. This is found in John chapter 4, and we focus on verses 5-30. As a woman, she was kept down by society's prevailing culture. However, Jesus spoke to her to let her know she had value as a person. Jesus is not a captive to culture. Christians must be prepared to publicly reach out to those whom our culture and society generally do not care about. Are you a captive of the culture? Reverend Mark Dawes is the Pastor of Grace Missionary Church in Kingston, Jamaica.

Episode 40-2026 – The Samaritan Woman at The Well

2026-10-049:26

Good morning. Today we start a series of reflections from John's Gospel. In this episode, we focus on the passage in which Jesus spoke with a Samaritan woman at a well. This is found in John chapter 4, and we focus on verses 5-30. This Samaritan woman got a glimpse of eternity. She moved from an appetite for things that could not satisfy to an appetite for the things that satisfied her soul. Reverend Mark Dawes is the Pastor of Grace Missionary Church in Kingston, Jamaica.

Episode 39-2026 – Now is a Good Time to Repent

2026-09-278:43

Good morning, all. As we continue our reflection, let us return to where we started as we earnestly look at the current state of affairs of our country and what, from Scripture, should be our necessary response to deal with the matter. Reverend Shanni Bennett is the Pastor of Barrett Town Missionary Church in St. James, Jamaica.

Episode 38-2026 – The Day of the Lord and its Surety

2026-09-207:49

Good morning, all. We are still reading from the book of the Prophet Joel, looking at his prophecy, which we said applies to our current state of affairs in our country and, by extension, the world. Today, we will be looking at the third part of this prophecy, and that is "The Day of the Lord and its Surety". Reverend Shanni Bennett is the Pastor of Barrett Town Missionary Church in St. James, Jamaica.

Episode 37-2026 – Repentance Leads to Restoration

2026-09-138:44

Good morning, all. We are still reading from the book of the Prophet Joel, underscoring the need for repentance in the current state of affairs in our country. Today, we are going deeper as we look at what true repentance brings. For Joel, when we genuinely repent, we experience the Lord's mercy, grace, loving kindness, and salvation. So today's focus is: Repentance leads to Restoration. Reverend Shanni Bennett is the Pastor of Barrett Town Missionary Church in St. James, Jamaica.

Episode 36-2026 – The Necessity for Repentance

2026-09-069:11

Good morning all, I hope you are well. This week we will be reading from the Book of the Prophet Joel as we try to underscore God's call for us to repent. Hence, our focus for today is "The Necessity for Repentance". As we have been observing the state of affairs in our country, and the world by extension, over the last couple of years, the call to repent rings true, sharp and poignant. Like many, we have suffered needlessly and insurmountably at the hands of people who practice crime and violence, a disregard for rules and authority; corruption almost everywhere. For these things, the call to repent is resoundingly clear. Reverend Shanni Bennett is the Pastor of Barrett Town Missionary Church in St. James, Jamaica.

Episode 35-2026 – Unchanged Realities in Changing Times

2026-08-309:18

This morning we conclude our series which highlights the fact that in our human experience we are constantly faced with changes. We have said we face two things, the reality of change and the unchanged realities. In the face of our changes Jesus Christ remains the only constant. He is dependable and will ultimately take us in the direction that leads to that desired and decisive change that we all need. Our text today is St. John's Gospel 6:1-14. Reverend Rennard White is a retired Pastor and member of Tower Hill Missionary Church in Kingston, Jamaica. He is also a former president of the Missionary Church Association in Jamaica.

Episode 34-2026 – Unchanged Realities in Changing Times

2026-08-238:49

We continue to pursue our focus this morning as it relates to Change and Newness. Ever so often, we come up with something new. It is usually hailed and promoted as a game-changer. The discoverer or inventor receives recognition or reward, and oftentimes people swear by this new invention. Very often, however, this new thing becomes old, stale, ordinary, in need of improvement or replacement. Let us reflect on 2 Corinthians 5:1-10. Reverend Rennard White is a retired Pastor and member of Tower Hill Missionary Church in Kingston, Jamaica. He is also a former president of the Missionary Church Association in Jamaica.

Episode 33-2026 – Unchanged Realities in Changing Times

2026-08-1610:07

For the past two weeks, we have kept a focus on new things. The fact is, we are a people with a great fascination with the new. We have seen a wide range of developments in a number of areas for which we celebrate newness. Let us reflect on John's Gospel, chapter 3 and verses 1-8. Reverend Rennard White is a retired Pastor and member of Tower Hill Missionary Church in Kingston, Jamaica. He is also a former president of the Missionary Church Association in Jamaica.

Episode 32-2026 – Unchanged Realities in Changing Times

2026-08-098:27

As we continue our reflections, let us refer to St. Matthew's Gospel, chapter 4 and verses 12-17. When our Lord came to earth, He found a world in crisis. Mankind was in all sorts of difficulties. As it was then, so it is now. The scope of mankind's dilemma spawned the range of human experiences. In the midst of the fast-paced changes we face today, some realities remain the same. Reverend Rennard White is a retired Pastor and member of Tower Hill Missionary Church in Kingston, Jamaica. He is also a former president of the Missionary Church Association in Jamaica.

Episode 31-2026 – Unchanged Realities in Changing Times

2026-08-029:05

As the world moves at great speed, virtually reinventing itself at an accelerated pace, some things remain the same. These things constitute the basis for the church's ministry today. Human beings are lost. As the Bible says, this is mankind's greatest predicament. We stand under the judgment of a just God in our sin and rebellion. Let us look to Luke 13:1-9. Reverend Rennard White is a retired Pastor and member of Tower Hill Missionary Church in Kingston, Jamaica. He is a former president of the Missionary Church Association in Jamaica.

Episode 30-2026 – Christianity, A Distinct Identity

2026-07-269:00

Thank you for joining us today for our final segment in our series on Christianity, A Distinct Identity. Over the past few weeks, we have journeyed through the first chapter of 1 Peter. We have discovered what it meant to live as set-apart people, to walk in holiness, and to love each other with a pure, fervent heart. Today we close the series by looking at the ultimate destination of our identity. We are discovering what it means to be chosen and set-apart. Let us look to 1 Peter 2:4-10. Reverend Patricia Salmon is the Pastor of Calvary Missionary Church in St. Thomas, Jamaica.

Episode 28-2026 – Christianity, A Distinct Identity

2026-07-128:21

Welcome to today's podcast. This morning we are diving into 1 Peter 1:13-21. Our theme for the month is Christianity, A Distinct Identity, and today's topic is "Called to be Holy". This passage urges believers to live holy, hopeful lives in light of their salvation. The Apostle Peter calls Christians to discipline their minds, abandon their former sinful desires, and model their behaviour after God's holiness. Reverend Patricia Salmon is the Pastor of Calvary Missionary Church in St. Thomas, Jamaica.

Episode 27-2026 – Christianity, A Distinct Identity

2026-07-058:18

Good morning, listeners. I greet you well in the precious Name of Jesus Christ. For July, I will be sharing a four-part series under the theme "Christianity - A Distinct Identity". When people talk about Christianity having a distinct identity, they usually mean one of two things. Either how it stands completely apart from world religions, or how it completely rewrites a person's individual sense of self. Today I have good news for you. Reverend Patricia Salmon is the Pastor of Calvary Missionary Church in St. Thomas, Jamaica.

Episode 19-2026 – Meditations from John’s Gospel

2026-05-1011:36

Good morning. As we continue the series of Meditations from the Gospel of John, we will place our focus on John 8:37-39. This is how it reads: “I know that you are Abraham’s descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you. I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with your father.” They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham.” Reverend Mark Dawes is the Pastor of Grace Missionary Church in Kingston, Jamaica.

2026-04-2615:17

Today, we will look at a man who had extraordinary hope, faith and love. This story is about the Centurion, found in Matthew 8:5-10 and Luke 7:1-10. Both Gospels are written from different perspectives. This Centurion was a man of status and power and carried a great amount of authority. Reverend Dianne Lewis is the Pastor of Mike Town and Sweden Missionary Churches in Manchester, Jamaica.

Episode 16-2026: The Parable of The Ten Virgins

2026-04-1911:30

Good morning. Today, we share the well-known parable of the Ten Virgins found in Matthew 25:1-13. If we were to look at this parable through our Western eyes, we would probably struggle, as we are not used to a wedding ceremony or reception stretching for more than one day. However, there are at least four takeaways to share from this passage. Reverend Dianne Lewis is the Pastor of Mike Town and Sweden Missionary Churches in Manchester, Jamaica.

Episode 15-2026: Jesus Is Passing By

2026-04-1214:24

Jesus was leaving Jericho with a large crowd following Him. From this story, my question to you is, have you heard about Jesus? Like blind Bartimaeus, you can cry out to Jesus. Reverend Dianne Lewis is the Pastor of Mike Town and Sweden Missionary Churches in Manchester, Jamaica.

Episode 14-2026: The Gift of God

2026-04-059:47

Good morning. As we continue to celebrate and acknowledge the Lenten period and what it means to us, I want to reflect on Romans 5:12-19. We reflect on what Christ has done for you and me. He went to the cross of Calvary. Paul, in his great theological treatise to the Romans, made a comparison between life and death. Paul stated that sin entered our existence through one man, Adam, and death came through sin. Reverend Dianne Lewis is the Pastor of Mike Town and Sweden Missionary Churches in Manchester, Jamaica.

Episode 13-2026: Hope in The Times of Crises

2026-03-297:07

Good morning. Over the last couple of weeks, we have been briefly exploring the idea of Hope in Crises. We have said that hope is eagerly expecting something in the future, while crisis is our present reality, the situation we find ourselves in in the present moment. Do we have hope? Is there something better ahead of us? The scripture is clear that Jesus Christ is indeed hope. Today, we examine the story of David and Goliath found in 1 Samuel 17. Reverend Ronald Webster is the Pastor of Hopewell Missionary Church in Hopewell, Hanover, Jamaica.

Episode 12-2026: Hope in The Times of Crises

2026-03-227:59

Good morning. Today, we wish to speak about "The Crisis Within and The Hope of Victory". Does the believer, or Child of God, face crisis within? If so, how will this crisis be resolved? Is there hope for the struggler? Reverend Ronald Webster is the Pastor of Hopewell Missionary Church in Hopewell, Hanover, Jamaica.

Episode 11-2026: Hope in The Times of Crises

2026-03-156:38

Good morning. We began our study last week, exploring the subject of "Hope in Crises". Last week, we looked at the definition for Hope and how the Bible identifies the believers' hope as being "In Christ", not just in this world, but in and for the future. Today, we will explore "The Crisis in Creation" and the hope made available through Jesus Christ. Reverend Ronald Webster is the Pastor of Hopewell Missionary Church in Hopewell, Hanover, Jamaica.

Episode 10-2026: Hope in The Times of Crises

2026-03-086:46

Good morning. Our study this month covers the idea of "Hope in the Times of Crises". In this study, we will consider a definition and a biblical position on Hope. We will also consider a definition of crisis; an exploration of crisis in creation, and a biblical response; an exploration of crisis in general and a believer's response. We will end the series with an exploration of crisis within and a recovery plan. Today, we speak about hope as used in the New Testament, meaning a favourable and confident expectation. Reverend Ronald Webster is the Pastor of Hopewell Missionary Church in Hopewell, Hanover, Jamaica.

Episode 09-2026: The Believers’ Work – Our Acts of Service

2026-03-0111:52

Maranatha. We have come to the last sermon in our series on The Wonderful Anticipation: The Posture of the Church towards the Second Coming of Christ Jesus".The topics we have covered are: (1) The Believers' Waiting, (2) The Believers' Watch, and (3) The Believers' Walk. We therefore close with The Believers' Work until the Son of Man puts in His appearance. Matthew 24 and 25 address Jesus' teaching on His return. He speaks about the unpredictability of His return in Matthew 24:43, but affirms the certainty in Matthew 24:42. Angels make the same point in Acts 1:11. Each passage referenced has two things in common: the assured declaration of Jesus' return and the believers' response to the assurance of this return. Reverend Kevin Edwards is the Pastor of Waterford Missionary Church in St. Catherine, Jamaica, and Acting Chairman of The Missionary Church Association in Jamaica.

Episode 08-2026: The Believers’ Walk – Our Sanctification

2026-02-2211:33

I greet you in the name of Jesus Christ. It is with great joy and anticipation that we await the glorious return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. As we journey in this series on the theme, Joyful Anticipation - The Posture of the Church Towards The Second Coming of Christ Jesus, so far we have covered The Believers' Waiting and The Believers' Watch. Today, we discuss The Believers' Walk, a look at the Christians' sanctification in light of our Lord's return. Reverend Kevin Edwards is the Pastor of Waterford Missionary Church in St. Catherine, Jamaica.

Episode 07-2026: The Believers’ Watch – Our Steadfastness Until The Lord Returns

2026-02-1512:23

Good morning again, everyone, and Maranatha. Today, we continue the series themed "Joyful Anticipation, The Posture of the Church towards the Second Coming of Christ Jesus". I intend to address this as follows: (1) The Believers' Waiting - A Look on Our Blessed Hope, (2) The Believers' Walk - Our Sanctification, (3) The Believers' Work - Our Acts of Service, and (4) The Believers' Watch - Our Steadfastness Until the Lord Returns. Today, let us consider The Believer's Watch. Whenever we start our discussions on the Lord's return, some will always say they have been hearing this for a very long time, indicating the long delay in His coming. Mathew's Gospel deals with the delay of the parousia in two ways: the first is a warning to be watchful, and the second is a warning about preparedness. Reverend Kevin Edwards is the Pastor of Waterford Missionary Church in St. Catherine, Jamaica.

Episode 06-2026: The Believers’ Waiting – Our Blessed Hope

2026-02-089:46

It is a travesty to know that what the Lord has intended to serve as the believers' hope and comfort has become their despair and distress. Far too many believers do not read or study the teachings of the Second Advent of our Lord Jesus Christ. His Second Coming was always intended to bring joy and hope for Christians of all ages. Good morning, everyone, and Maranatha. This series is titled "Joyful Anticipation, The Posture of the Church towards the Second Coming of Jesus". Today, let us consider Our Blessed Hope. Reverend Kevin Edwards is the Pastor of Waterford Missionary Church in St. Catherine, Jamaica.

Episode 05-2026: The First Epistle of John

2026-02-019:52

Good morning, listeners. Today, we conclude this short series exploring key themes in the Epistle of First John. In this episode, we examine the danger posed by love of the world. John, the Apostle of love, shared from a Pastoral heart the principles of maintaining fellowship with God and with fellow believers, through constant confession of sins to remain in The Light as he was in The Light. 1 John 2:15-17. Reverend Jacob McLean is the Pastor of Hampton Green Missionary Church in Kingston, Jamaica, and Chairman of The Missionary Church Association in Jamaica.

Episode 04-2026: The First Epistle of John

2026-01-2510:17

Good morning, listeners. We are continuing the exploration of key themes in the Epistle of First John. Today, we look at "Love", the very essence of God's nature, and a defining characteristic of a life transformed by Christ. Let us examine John's expectations on the subject of love among Believers, 1 John 3:16-23. Reverend Jacob McLean is the Pastor of Hampton Green Missionary Church in Kingston, Jamaica, and Chairman of The Missionary Church Association in Jamaica.

Episode 03-2026: The First Epistle of John

2026-01-189:23

Good morning, listeners. In this series, we are exploring the Epistle of First John. Last week, we introduced you to First John as a family letter written by a concerned Pastor, and mentioned two of the purposes for which this Epistle was written. Let us now explore how the believer can maintain fellowship and, as a result, experience the fullness of joy. Our reference is 1 John 1:5-10. Reverend Jacob McLean is the Pastor of Hampton Green Missionary Church in Kingston, Jamaica, and Chairman of The Missionary Church Association in Jamaica.

Episode 01-2026: The First Epistle of John

2026-01-049:10

Happy New Year. As people of faith, we have every right to express the customary New Year's greeting, even though we have just left behind what will undoubtedly go down in history as the most catastrophic year in Jamaica. This month, we will be sharing from the Epistle of John, particularly the first epistle. Reverend Jacob McLean is the Pastor of Hampton Green Missionary Church in Kingston, Jamaica, and Chairman of The Missionary Church Association in Jamaica.
