Mark 15
Through Mark 15, Jesus willingly took the punishment meant for others—standing in the place of Barabbas and all who would believe. The torn curtain of the temple revealed that mercy, once restricted to the high priest alone, is now accessible to everyone through Jesus' sacrifice. The sermon calls us to recognize what Jesus did for us personally and to respond by turning from sin, never forgetting the mercy we've been given through Calvary. This week we concluded our journey through the book of Mark with a powerful look at Mark 15 — the arrest, trial, crucifixion, and burial of Jesus. The central question woven throughout the entire message was both simple and deeply personal: Did you know it was for you? From the moment Jesus was handed over to Pilate, everything He had taught and done began to come to its fullest expression. He wasn't building an earthly kingdom — He was building one rooted in redemption. Though He could have declared Himself king before the crowds, He had no need for an earthly title. He already was the King of Kings. One of the most striking moments came in reflecting on Barabbas — whose name literally means "Son of the Father." A guilty man walked free while an innocent Jesus stayed. That image is the gospel in a single scene. Jesus stood in the place someone else deserved to stand, and He did it willingly. From the torn curtain that opened access to God's mercy for all people, to the Roman centurion who — after witnessing the crucifixion — declared Jesus the Son of God, Mark 15 is filled with people encountering the power of Christ, often without fully realizing it.The invitation this week was clear: Jesus didn't stay dead. His mercy is new every morning, and it is available to all who call on His name — including you.
Mark 14
Sacrificial living, like the woman who anointed Jesus, is prophetic and requires submission to God.
Mark 13
When the world shakes and every familiar thing crumbles, you can stand unshaken because Jesus has already told you how this ends.Happy Grandparents Day
Near the Kingdom or In the Kingdom? (Mark 12)
In this message from the series Jesus: Actions, Words, and Miracles, Pastor Zachary Priddy walks through Mark 12:1–44, where Jesus confronts the religious establishment in the temple courts of Jerusalem. Using the architectural 3-4-5 rule, we examine how Jesus is the rejected stone who became the chief cornerstone—the true plumb line against which every human life and doctrine must be aligned. Moving beyond financial debates, Christ challenges our deepest allegiances: while Caesar’s coin bears Caesar’s inscription, every human being bears the image of God and owes Him total surrender. Finally, we unpack the Shema (Deuteronomy 6:4–5), the true definition of a biblical neighbor, the danger of being merely "near the kingdom" without entering it, and Jesus’s stark warning against religious systems that exploit the vulnerable.Mark 12:1–44 Psalm 118:22–23 Deuteronomy 6:4–5 (The Shema) Genesis 1:26–27 Matthew 5:43–48 Key Topics: Mark 12 Exegesis, The Parable of the Wicked Tenants, Jesus as the Cornerstone, Biblical Neighbor, The Greatest Commandment, Christian Discipleship, Devouring Widows' Houses, True Stewardship.Mark 12:1–44 Psalm 118:22–23 Deuteronomy 6:4–5 (The Shema) Genesis 1:26–27 Matthew 5:43–48 Key Topics: Mark 12 Exegesis, The Parable of the Wicked Tenants, Jesus as the Cornerstone, Biblical Neighbor, The Greatest Commandment, Christian Discipleship, Devouring Widows' Houses, True Stewardship.

Living Your Legacy
Have you ever felt like Nigel, the lonely bird who died next to a concrete decoy he loved? Just like Nigel, we can be lured away from what truly matters and end up in unfulfilling situations. In Judges, we see Gideon's victory against all odds, but the people quickly forgot God's goodness and returned to their old ways. How often do we do the same?God calls us to remember His faithfulness and not dwell on past mistakes. We must break through our comfort zones and keep pushing forward, not settling for temporary peace. Like Gideon, we must finish the job and not fall back into old habits.Let's be like the faithful few who remained with Gideon, ready to fight the battles ahead. Let's seek God's voice, long for His touch, and proclaim His good news boldly. Breakthroughs aren't meant to be one-time events; we must keep breaking through every day. What will you do today to live out your legacy for Christ? Let's love, pray, and live like Jesus, making a lasting impact on those around us. Don't be a Nigel; be a warrior for the Kingdom. Join us in the fight for faithfulness and victory! (Judges 8:22-27, 33-35, Isaiah 43:18-19, Matthew 3:1-3, 4:17)Main Idea: Remembering God's faithfulness and staying vigilant in our faith to avoid returning to old ways.Scripture: Judges 8:22-35 - Gideon's victory and subsequent return to idolatry.Key Takeaways: • We often forget God's past victories in our lives. • Peace should not lead to complacency in our faith. • We must not go back to old sinful habits after experiencing breakthroughs.Application: Stay focused on God's goodness, remain vigilant in faith, and actively resist the temptations to return to old ways. Continuously seek God's presence and guidance to avoid falling back into sinful patterns.

Preaching From The Pit (Week 2)
Main Theme: The sermon underscores the significance of forgiveness and faith, even in challenging circumstances, using the life of Joseph as an example.Scripture: The story of Joseph from Genesis 37-45 emphasizing on how he continually trusted in God's providence and forgave those who wronged him.Key Takeaways: • Our actions and attitudes during difficult times are crucial. Joseph, despite being sold into slavery by his brothers, remained faithful and forgiving. • True freedom comes through forgiveness - both God's forgiveness for our sins through Christ and our forgiveness towards others. • The world might hate us for our faithfulness to God, but we are called to remain steadfast, like Joseph. • Though we might be in tough situations because of others' actions, God remains sovereign, using even our trials for His purposes.Application: Like Joseph, we should rise above our circumstances spiritually and mentally, forgiving those who wrong us and trusting in God's sovereignty. Our actions in the midst of trials should be a testament to our faith in Christ.Have you ever felt trapped in a metaphorical pit? In our recent sermon, "Preaching from the Pit," we explored Joseph's narrative (Gen 37-45) to understand God's power in our own struggles.Joseph's trials, from unjust hatred to a literal pit, mirror so many of our own battles. Yet, in John 8:36, we find assurance, "So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free." True freedom - liberation from our past and forgiveness for ourselves and others - comes through the redeeming power of the cross.Scripture reminds us that our actions within the pit, whether born out of personal missteps or others' sins against us, hold profound significance. Even our silence preaches. We're called to extend forgiveness to others, to give freely what we have received (Matt 6:14-15).Emulating the resilience and grace of Joseph can seem daunting. However, his story urges us never to define ourselves by our pits but to look beyond to the deliberate and loving plans of God. Feeling stuck in your pit today? Draw hope from Joseph’s story - freedom and restoration await. Let’s explore this together. Join us on Sunday or connect with us online for the full sermon.
