Bills NEED More Ty Johnson! Is James Cook's Workload About to Change?
Buffalo Bills running back Ty Johnson deserves a bigger role in Joe Brady's offense after delivering an impressive performance against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football. With DJ Moore unavailable, Johnson stepped up as one of Josh Allen's most reliable receiving options, recording four receptions for a team-high 72 receiving yards in Buffalo's dramatic overtime victory. But should the Bills start giving Johnson even more opportunities? Johnson continues to prove why he's one of Buffalo's most underrated offensive weapons, providing reliable pass protection, strong receiving ability and valuable production on third downs. Josh Allen praised Johnson after the game for finding open space and creating opportunities in the passing attack. Meanwhile, Ray Davis also made a strong impression against Los Angeles. Davis delivered a huge opening kickoff return and added an impressive 31-yard reception, demonstrating why he still deserves opportunities in Buffalo's offense. Despite those performances, James Cook dominated the rushing workload, receiving 25 of the 27 carries given to Bills running backs. And with Joe Brady publicly warning Cook that continued fumbling could lead to fewer carries, Buffalo's running back rotation suddenly becomes an interesting conversation. We break down why Ty Johnson deserves more playing time, how Ray Davis could become a bigger offensive contributor and whether Brady should consider changing the way he distributes touches. Cook remains Buffalo's best running back and should continue leading the rushing attack. But utilizing Johnson as a receiving weapon and giving Davis additional opportunities could make Josh Allen's offense even more dangerous. With the Las Vegas Raiders up next, will Joe Brady finally unleash the full potential of Buffalo's running back room? #BuffaloBills #TyJohnson #BillsMafia Photo Credit: Jayne Kamin-Oncea IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Tyler Bass SAVES the Bills! Rams Make a SHOCKING Move After Loss!
Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass delivered when it mattered most, hitting the game-winning field goal in overtime against the Los Angeles Rams and helping Buffalo escape SoFi Stadium with a dramatic victory. But Bass wasn't the only special teams player who stepped up for the Bills. Ray Davis opened Monday Night Football with a massive kickoff return, giving Buffalo its longest opening kickoff return since Nyheim Hines' memorable touchdown against the New England Patriots during the 2022 season. Davis also contributed offensively, continuing to establish his role in Joe Brady's offense. Meanwhile, Greg Dortch has provided stability in the punt return game, giving Buffalo another dependable special teams contributor. While the Bills continue to deal with defensive concerns and an offense that hasn't consistently matched its early-season production, special teams have become an important reason Buffalo continues finding ways to win. Bass did miss an extra point against Los Angeles, but his ability to deliver the winning kick in overtime demonstrated why Buffalo continues trusting its veteran kicker. The Rams weren't nearly as fortunate. Following their overtime loss to Buffalo, Los Angeles released kicker Harrison Mevis, ending his tenure after another frustrating special teams performance. Sean McVay's postgame frustration made it clear that changes could be coming, and the Rams wasted little time making a move. We break down Buffalo's special teams performance, why Tyler Bass deserves more credit, Ray Davis' growing role and what the Rams' kicking situation says about the importance of dependable special teams. Joe Brady THREATENS to BENCH James Cook?! Bills Have a BIG Problem!
Buffalo Bills head coach Joe Brady has issued a serious warning to James Cook following another costly fumble, making it clear that the star running back could lose carries if his ball security doesn't improve. But would taking touches away from one of the NFL's best running backs actually help Buffalo? Cook has recorded 11 fumbles since the beginning of the 2025 season, nearly double the total of any other NFL running back during that stretch. Despite leading the NFL in rushing last season, Cook's continued struggles protecting the football have become a legitimate concern for the Bills. Following Buffalo's dramatic overtime victory against the Los Angeles Rams, Brady addressed the issue publicly, warning that turnovers could eventually cost the team games. Meanwhile, Josh Allen defended his teammate, expressing confidence that Cook understands the importance of correcting his mistakes. Cook also acknowledged the problem and emphasized his commitment to improving his ball security. We break down Brady's comments, Allen's response and why this situation could become an important early test of Brady's leadership as Buffalo's head coach. With the Bills preparing to face the Las Vegas Raiders, the question becomes whether Brady is simply sending a message or genuinely considering reducing Cook's workload. Buffalo's offense is among the NFL's most dangerous when it protects the football, but with defensive concerns already creating problems, the Bills cannot afford unnecessary turnovers. Should Joe Brady reduce James Cook's carries if the fumbling continues, or is Cook simply too valuable to take off the field? #BuffaloBills #JamesCook #BillsMafia Photo Credit: Mark Konezny IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Bills Rookie Skyler Bell FINALLY Gets His Shot on Monday Night Football vs. Rams
Buffalo Bills rookie wide receiver Skyler Bell is finally getting his NFL opportunity against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football, and his role could be much bigger than expected. With Joshua Palmer ruled out due to a shoulder injury, Bills head coach Joe Brady confirmed that Bell will make his regular-season debut. But this might be more than simply replacing an injured receiver. Reports and practice observations suggest Bell has been getting opportunities in packages normally associated with DJ Moore, raising questions about how Buffalo plans to use the rookie against Los Angeles. Could Bell become the offensive weapon Josh Allen desperately needs? On today's Bills HIT, we examine why Bell's debut could be important for Buffalo's offense and what his performance might mean for the team's plans ahead of the NFL trade deadline. Bell flashed his versatility during the preseason, recording seven receptions for 49 yards and adding a 28-yard rushing touchdown. We also discuss DJ Moore's injury situation and whether Buffalo could limit his workload after previously giving him 10 targets despite concerns about his availability. Meanwhile, the Rams present a difficult challenge for both sides of the football. Los Angeles is expected to welcome back several important contributors, including Aaron Donald, creating another major test for Buffalo's offensive line. Defensively, the Bills need significant improvement from their secondary after a disappointing performance against New England. Can Maxwell Hairston and the rest of Buffalo's defensive backs respond against one of the NFL's most dangerous passing attacks? And could Skyler Bell's debut provide the spark Buffalo needs on Monday Night Football? #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #SkylerBell Photo Credit: Gregory Fisher IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Jim Leonhard PUBLICLY CALLS OUT Bills Rookie Maxwell Hairston! TJ Parker Is Ready for MORE
Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard just delivered a strong message to rookie cornerback Maxwell Hairston following the loss to the New England Patriots. Effort matters, and Leonhard isn't making excuses for one of Buffalo's youngest defenders. After Hairston's questionable effort on a late completion to Hunter Henry, Leonhard was asked directly whether the rookie gave enough effort on the play. His answer was simple. "No, I think that's clear." For a first-round pick trying to establish himself in the NFL, that's a significant public challenge from his defensive coordinator. Hairston later addressed the media after declining to speak following the Patriots game, explaining that he wanted to avoid saying something emotional immediately after the loss. But the bigger issue remains. Buffalo's defense is still adjusting to Leonhard's system, and mistakes are inevitable. However, effort and discipline should never be optional. Meanwhile, another young Bills defender is moving in the opposite direction. Rookie defensive lineman TJ Parker is making a strong case for additional playing time after an encouraging performance against New England. Leonhard praised Parker's physicality against the run, pass-rushing ability and overall development. More importantly, he indicated that Parker is ready for a bigger role and getting closer to earning additional snaps. Could Parker become a significant contributor to Buffalo's defensive line? With the Los Angeles Rams and Matthew Stafford waiting on Monday Night Football, the Bills need their young defenders to step up. We break down Leonhard's comments about Hairston, why accountability matters for Buffalo's defensive culture and what Parker must do to earn more opportunities alongside Deone Walker, DeWayne Carter and the rest of the defensive front. Two young Bills defenders. Two very different messages. And a crucial opportunity against the Rams. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #NFL Photo Credit: Tina MacIntyre-Yee IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Josh Allen's INSANE SoFi Stadium Stats Should TERRIFY the LA Rams
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has a perfect opportunity to bounce back against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football, and his incredible history at SoFi Stadium suggests Buffalo could be in for a big performance. After a difficult two-game stretch against the Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots, Allen is looking to return to the MVP-level football that made him an early-season favorite. And there's one reason Bills fans should feel confident. In three career games at SoFi Stadium, Josh Allen has recorded 1,029 total yards, 13 total touchdowns, just three turnovers and nearly a 72% completion percentage. He's also 2-1 in those contests. Can Allen continue that dominance against the Rams? While much of the concern surrounding Buffalo's chances involves its defense, Allen has the talent and experience to keep the Bills competitive against one of the NFL's most dangerous offenses. But there are questions surrounding his receiving weapons. DJ Moore continues dealing with a shoulder injury, raising concerns about how much Buffalo should use him if he's not completely healthy. Keon Coleman has stepped up in Moore's absence, but can he maintain that production when the veteran returns? Khalil Shakir has shown promise as a vertical receiving threat, although drops and ball security remain concerns. Meanwhile, rookie Skyler Bell could deserve an opportunity to make his NFL debut, especially with Joshua Palmer struggling to establish himself despite scoring two touchdowns. Should Joe Brady activate Bell against Los Angeles? And could his performance influence Buffalo's plans ahead of the NFL trade deadline? We break down Allen's remarkable SoFi Stadium numbers, Buffalo's receiver decisions and why the Bills could surprise everyone on Monday Night Football. #BuffaloBills #JoshAllen #BillsMafia Photo Credit: Mark Konezny IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Joe Brady MUST Fix These 2 Buffalo Bills Problems Before the Rams Game
Buffalo Bills head coach Joe Brady needs to make two major offensive adjustments before Monday Night Football against the Los Angeles Rams. James Cook and Dalton Kincaid are not getting enough opportunities, and it's becoming a serious problem for Josh Allen and the Bills offense. James Cook is one of the NFL's most explosive running backs, leading the league with 15 runs of at least 10 yards through four games. Yet Cook received just 12 carries against the New England Patriots, despite rushing for 75 yards and a touchdown. Buffalo's offensive line is doing its job, too. The Bills lead the NFL with 2.66 yards before contact per rushing attempt, creating opportunities that Joe Brady simply isn't taking advantage of. Why aren't the Bills running the football more? Cook needs at least 18 carries against the Rams, and Buffalo should be taking advantage of its offensive line instead of constantly asking Josh Allen to carry the offense. Then there's Dalton Kincaid. The Bills tight end opened the season with 225 receiving yards in his first two games, but he's managed just three receptions for 45 yards over the last two contests. Kincaid received only two targets against New England, something Brady admitted should never happen. Buffalo's offensive struggles against the Chargers and Patriots have coincided with Kincaid's declining involvement. Is that really a coincidence? The Bills need to get Cook and Kincaid involved immediately if they want to bounce back against Los Angeles. Josh Allen can still be the centerpiece of Buffalo's offense, but Joe Brady needs to start using the weapons around him. #BuffaloBills #Bills #NFL #JamesCook #DaltonKincaid Photo Credit: Mark Konezny IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Buffalo Bills Should TRADE Ray Davis for This Packers Cornerback?
The Buffalo Bills need help in their secondary, and a potential trade involving running back Ray Davis and Green Bay Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon could give Buffalo an opportunity to address one of its biggest defensive concerns. With Joe Brady taking over as head coach, Davis has seen his role in the Bills offense shrink dramatically. After recording 113 carries in 2024 and 58 last season, Davis has just two carries for six yards through Buffalo's first four games. Is it time for Brandon Beane to consider moving the young running back? Bills reporter Ryan Talbot recently discussed a potential one-for-one trade that would send Ray Davis to Green Bay in exchange for Keisean Nixon. While additional draft compensation could be necessary, the proposal raises an interesting question about how Buffalo should approach its roster before the NFL trade deadline. Nixon hasn't enjoyed the strongest start to the season with the Packers, but could a change of scenery help him become an important piece of Jim Leonhard's defense? Buffalo has successfully acquired secondary help from Green Bay before, most notably with the Rasul Douglas trade. Meanwhile, Ty Johnson has established himself as a reliable third-down option thanks to his pass protection and versatility. With James Cook expected to handle the majority of Buffalo's rushing attempts, Davis could continue struggling to find opportunities. Even Frank Gore Jr. received additional playing time when Johnson was unavailable. Would the Bills be sacrificing too much running back depth by trading Davis, or could this be an opportunity to improve a more important position? Buffalo has postseason expectations, and strengthening the secondary could be critical to making another playoff run. Should Brandon Beane pull the trigger on a Ray Davis trade? #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #NFL #Bills Photo Credit: Gregory Fisher IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! TOUGH TALK: Josh Allen HAS TO BE Better for the Buffalo Bills
Josh Allen knows he made a costly mistake in the Buffalo Bills' loss to the New England Patriots. Now Buffalo needs its franchise quarterback to respond against the Los Angeles Rams. Allen admitted after the game that he wanted the critical interception back. Instead of throwing the football away, Allen reverted to the type of hero ball that occasionally plagued him earlier in his career. Joe Brady took responsibility for the play call, but sometimes the quarterback simply has to make a better decision. And Allen knows that. The bigger concern is that Buffalo's offense has now struggled in consecutive games while the defense has problems of its own. The Bills need their MVP-caliber quarterback to settle things down before mistakes start piling up. There's another issue that could help. Dalton Kincaid had 12 receptions for 225 yards and a touchdown over Buffalo's first two games. Over the last two? Just three catches for 45 yards and zero touchdowns. Kincaid received only two targets against New England. That has to change. Get Kincaid involved. Get Josh Allen comfortable. Cut down the turnovers and stop forcing Allen to create something out of nothing. Monday Night Football against the Rams would be a pretty good time to start. #BuffaloBills #JoshAllen #BillsMafia Photo Credit: Mark Konezny IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! The Bills NEED to Give Skyler Bell a Chance vs. Rams on Monday Night Football
Skyler Bell deserves an opportunity when the Buffalo Bills face the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football, especially with DJ Moore's health remaining a concern. There are multiple ways Buffalo could get Bell into the lineup. The first is protecting Moore. He's already dealt with injuries twice this season, and Buffalo needs its No. 1 receiver healthy for the most important portion of the schedule. Keon Coleman has stepped up without him, but imagine Coleman producing alongside a completely healthy Moore. Joshua Palmer's production also creates an opening. Palmer has just three receptions on nine targets this season despite scoring twice. Before the trade deadline arrives, why not use some of those opportunities to find out exactly what Buffalo has in Bell? There's also Keleki Latu. The rookie tight end has played only 13 offensive snaps through four games. If Buffalo wants Moore and Palmer active, Bell could potentially take that roster spot instead and provide another receiver for Josh Allen. This doesn't have to mean a permanent change. Give Skyler Bell a jersey against the Rams. Give him some legitimate opportunities. Find out whether he can become another weapon for Allen before deciding what Buffalo needs at the trade deadline. #BuffaloBills #SkylerBell #BillsMafia Photo Credit: Gregory Fisher IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! REACTION: The Buffalo Bills Just BLEW a Game They Had No Business Losing
The Buffalo Bills suffered their first loss of the season, falling 29-26 to the New England Patriots in the first AFC East matchup at the new Highmark Stadium. This one got away from Buffalo. New England entered the game without Christian Gonzalez and Christian Barmore, yet the Bills couldn't capitalize. Instead, Drake Maye and the Patriots produced 405 yards of offense and exposed some major concerns with Jim Leonhard's defense. Josh Allen wasn't at his best either. Allen finished with 253 passing yards, one touchdown and an interception while New England found ways to limit his impact as a runner. The Bills also continued having turnover problems after they survived five giveaways against the Chargers. There were positives. Keon Coleman was outstanding with six receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown. James Cook averaged more than six yards per carry, but Buffalo only gave him 12 attempts. Meanwhile, DJ Moore's injury remains something the Bills need to monitor after another limited performance. Buffalo is still a good football team. But after allowing 405 yards, losing the turnover battle again and failing to take advantage of a depleted Patriots defense, it's fair to pump the brakes on the Super Bowl talk. This was a game Buffalo should have won. They blew it. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #JoshAllen Photo Credit: Mark Konezny IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! The Bills Secondary MUST Step Up Against Drake Maye
The Buffalo Bills are 3-0 entering Sunday's AFC East matchup against the New England Patriots, but Buffalo's secondary could be one of the biggest keys to avoiding an upset. Drake Maye hasn't started the season the way New England hoped. That doesn't mean Buffalo can take him lightly. Bills fans saw two very different versions of Maye against Buffalo last season, and eventually the Patriots quarterback is going to have a game where things start clicking again. Buffalo can't let that happen Sunday. Jim Leonhard's defense has shown progress through the first three games, but the secondary remains one area that still appears to be adjusting to the new defensive system. This is an opportunity to take another step. New England's passing game has questions. The Patriots are searching for answers around Maye, and their running game hasn't consistently provided enough support. Buffalo needs to take advantage. Make Maye uncomfortable. Don't give New England easy explosive plays. Force the Patriots to consistently drive the field against this defense. The Bills survived five turnovers against the Chargers and still improved to 3-0. Clean that up and get a strong performance from the secondary, and Buffalo has an opportunity to take care of business against its AFC East rival. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #NFL Photo Credit: Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Joe Brady Just Revealed What MUST Change for the Bills
Buffalo Bills head coach Joe Brady just delivered an important message about Josh Allen and this 3-0 team entering Sunday's AFC East matchup against the New England Patriots. Don't get comfortable. Buffalo turned the football over five times against the Chargers and still escaped with a win. Brady doesn't want the undefeated record, the standings or even facing a division rival to change how the Bills approach their preparation. But his comments about Allen might matter even more. Brady admitted he'd love to see Allen take fewer hits and acknowledged that his own play calling has to help protect Buffalo's franchise quarterback. That's important. There is a difference between taking advantage of Allen's greatness and constantly depending on him to rescue the offense. Buffalo has James Cook coming off a rushing title. Ty Johnson is back. Khalil Shakir can create underneath, and DJ Moore gives Allen another weapon. Use them. Allen is always going to extend plays, fight for extra yards and attempt things most quarterbacks wouldn't even consider. The Bills shouldn't try to eliminate that. They should build an offense that doesn't require it every Sunday. Buffalo is 3-0, but the five-turnover performance against Los Angeles showed there is plenty to fix. Do it now while you're still undefeated. #BuffaloBills #JoshAllen #BillsMafia Photo Credit: Thomas Shea IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! The Bills Have ONE Major Concern That Could Keep the Patriots Alive
The Buffalo Bills are 3-0 entering their AFC East matchup against the New England Patriots, but one problem could give Drake Maye and the Patriots exactly the opportunity they need. Buffalo has to stop putting the football in danger. The Bills have fumbled on their opening possession in all three games this season, recovering two of them. Against the Chargers, things became even worse when Buffalo committed five turnovers and still somehow escaped with a 24-16 victory. James Cook fumbled on his first carry before bouncing back with more than 150 rushing yards. Buffalo survived those mistakes. That doesn't mean they can continue making them. New England has talent in its secondary, led by Christian Gonzalez, and the Patriots' clearest path toward making this game uncomfortable is creating turnovers and giving Maye short fields. The Bills can't hand them those opportunities. Josh Allen doesn't need to force anything. Cook needs to protect the football. Buffalo simply needs to play clean offensive football and make New England earn everything it gets. Maye and the Patriots offense have struggled to capitalize on opportunities this season. Don't give them extra chances to finally figure it out. If Buffalo protects the football, the Patriots could have a difficult time keeping pace. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #NFL Photo Credit: Gregory Fisher IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Greg Rousseau, Buffalo Bills Defense Could Make Drake Maye’s Problems MUCH Worse
The Buffalo Bills have a matchup they should feel very good about against the New England Patriots, and it starts with Greg Rousseau getting after Drake Maye. Rousseau has been dominant through three games. Six sacks. Two sacks in every game. And Buffalo is undefeated in Rousseau's career when he records at least two sacks in a game. Now he gets a fascinating matchup against a Patriots offense searching for answers. New England's offensive tackles have actually played well. Will Campbell and Morgan Moses have combined to allow just one sack this season. The bigger opportunity for Buffalo could come inside. The Patriots have dealt with injuries and inconsistency along the interior offensive line, while Drake Maye has looked increasingly uncomfortable running New England's offense. That's where Jim Leonhard can attack. Buffalo doesn't necessarily need Rousseau to dominate Campbell or Moses every snap. The Bills can create pressure from multiple spots, attack New England's weakened interior and force Maye to make quick decisions. That's a dangerous situation for a quarterback already struggling with confidence, turnovers and decision-making. Rousseau has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of Buffalo's new defensive scheme. If the Bills can get him going again Sunday, New England's biggest offensive problem could become even worse. #BuffaloBills #GregRousseau #BillsMafia Photo Credit: Junfu Han Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Drake Maye Is STRUGGLING... But Should the Bills Be Worried?
The Buffalo Bills face the New England Patriots on Sunday, and one of the biggest questions is which version of Drake Maye will show up against Buffalo's defense. Maye's recent numbers are ugly. Since the start of the 2025 playoffs, the Patriots quarterback has thrown eight interceptions and fumbled eight times over a seven-game stretch. The fumbles might be even more concerning than the interceptions. But does that mean Maye is finished? Probably not. Young quarterbacks struggle. Josh Allen certainly had rough stretches early in his career. The bigger question for Buffalo is whether this is the week Maye finally starts figuring things out. The Bills have shown some vulnerabilities in the secondary during their first season under defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard. That makes this an interesting matchup despite everything going wrong for New England offensively. There has also been outside speculation about Maye's shoulder, although the episode notes reports from Patriots insiders indicating there isn't a known shoulder issue inside the building. Buffalo shouldn't assume anything against an AFC East rival. Maye has struggled. New England's offense has struggled. But divisional games have a way of getting weird. The Bills have an opportunity to make sure Maye's slump lasts at least one more week. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #DrakeMaye Photo Credit: Melina Myers Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Buffalo Bills Fans Won’t Believe What Greg Rousseau And Josh Allen Just Did
Josh Allen and Greg Rousseau aren't just leading the Buffalo Bills to a 3-0 start. Both are already making franchise and NFL history through the first three games of the season. Start with Rousseau. Groot has been dominant in Jim Leonhard's new defensive system, recording six sacks through three games. He has exactly two sacks in every game, becoming the first Bills player ever to begin a season with three consecutive two-sack performances. That puts Rousseau alongside some serious Buffalo history. Bruce Smith and Bryce Paup are the only other Bills players to record three straight games with multiple sacks at any point in a season. Then there's Josh Allen. Allen became the first quarterback of the Super Bowl era to rush for multiple touchdowns in three consecutive games. His six rushing touchdowns also extended his streak to nine straight seasons with at least six rushing scores. But the biggest Buffalo milestone might be No. 87. Allen now has 87 career touchdowns from scrimmage, tying Bills legends Andre Reed and Thurman Thomas for the most in franchise history. Rousseau is putting his name alongside Bruce Smith. Allen is putting his name alongside Reed and Thomas. And the Bills are only three games into the season. #BuffaloBills #JoshAllen #BillsMafia Photo Credit: Shawn Dowd IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Josh Allen’s WARNING After Buffalo Bills Win Should TERRIFY the NFL
The Buffalo Bills somehow survived FIVE turnovers and still beat the Los Angeles Chargers, 24-16, to remain undefeated. But Josh Allen's message afterward might be the biggest takeaway from Buffalo's wild win. "We win, but there are a lot of smoke detectors going off right now." That's exactly what Buffalo needed. The Bills made mistake after mistake and still found a way to win. For a team adjusting to a rookie head coach, new coordinators and significant defensive changes, Sunday's adversity gave Buffalo an early opportunity to learn what happens when everything doesn't go according to plan. And several players responded. James Cook fumbled on his first carry and then exploded for more than 150 rushing yards. DJ Moore entered the game questionable but received 10 targets and caught six passes, becoming a major part of Josh Allen's passing attack despite battling through his injury. Defensively, Greg Rousseau added another two sacks, while C.J. Gardner-Johnson delivered his best performance since joining Buffalo and provided an encouraging answer to some of the Bills' questions at safety. Five turnovers cannot become a habit. But Buffalo learned it can survive a game like this without having to learn that lesson through a loss. That could make this one of the most important wins of the Bills' entire regular season. Now it's onto the New England Patriots and Buffalo's first AFC East matchup of the season. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #JoshAllen Photo Credit: Shawn Dowd IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Bills FORCED to Make BIG Roster Move After Jordan Hancock Injury
Buffalo Bills defensive back Jordan Hancock has been placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, while Greg Dortch has officially been signed to Buffalo’s 53-man roster. Hancock’s loss creates immediate questions for both the Bills secondary and special teams. He had become an important role player, and Buffalo now needs to determine how those snaps will be replaced. Dortch appears to provide at least part of the answer. Buffalo signed him from the practice squad to the active roster, potentially solidifying its return specialist while Hancock is unavailable. Bills_DOUBLEHIT_925b But the move also creates an interesting numbers game at wide receiver. Buffalo now has six receivers on the active roster while Keon Coleman and DJ Moore remain questionable against the Los Angeles Chargers. That raises several questions about Skyler Bell, who is still waiting for his opportunity. If Coleman and Moore play, does Bell remain inactive? If Moore sits, does Buffalo simply give Dortch a jersey? Or could this finally be the week Bell gets his opportunity? There are also implications for Frank Gore Jr. if Ty Johnson returns, potentially allowing Buffalo to avoid another practice squad elevation. Bills_DOUBLEHIT_925b The Hancock injury is bad news, but Buffalo’s corresponding roster move creates several fascinating decisions before Sunday’s game against the Chargers. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #NFL Photo Credit: Mark Konezny IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Bills WR Injuries Could FINALLY Give Skyler Bell His Chance, Will DJ Moore Play?
YouTube Description Buffalo Bills injuries to Keon Coleman and DJ Moore could create a major opportunity for Skyler Bell against the Los Angeles Chargers, while Buffalo’s defensive line gets a favorable matchup against an injury-hit Chargers offensive line. Buffalo has officially ruled out Jordan Hancock with a hamstring injury and T.J. Sanders with an illness. Coleman and Moore are both questionable after returning to limited practice Friday, but their situations appear different. Coleman looked to be moving well during Friday’s practice, creating some optimism that he could play Sunday. Moore has spent time in a red non-contact jersey, which could lead Buffalo to be more cautious with him. Bills_DOUBLEHIT_925a If Moore cannot go, this could finally be Skyler Bell’s opportunity. Bell says he is ready if Buffalo gives him a jersey, and an expanded role would give the Bills an opportunity to evaluate another young receiver with the trade deadline approaching. Bills_DOUBLEHIT_925a Meanwhile, the Chargers have significant problems of their own. Los Angeles could be vulnerable along the offensive line, particularly on the interior with a third-string left guard and rookie center Jake Slaughter. That creates a potentially huge matchup for Deone Walker after he consistently created disruption last week. Greg Rousseau could also have an opportunity to make life difficult for Justin Herbert off the edge. Buffalo is still searching for its first interception of the season, and generating pressure against Herbert could finally create those takeaway opportunities. Bills_DOUBLEHIT_925a The Bills have injury concerns entering Sunday, but the Chargers may have an even bigger problem protecting their quarterback. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #NFL Photo Credit: Mark Konezny Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Bills WR Injuries Could Give Skyler Bell a HUGE Opportunity
Buffalo Bills injuries to DJ Moore and Keon Coleman could open the door for rookie WR Skyler Bell against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3. Coleman did not participate in practice Wednesday or Thursday, while Moore went from limited Wednesday to not participating Thursday. That creates major questions about Josh Allen’s wide receiver group and who could be active Sunday. Skyler Bell has been on Buffalo’s active roster but inactive for the first two games. With Moore and Coleman dealing with injuries, Week 3 could provide the rookie his first meaningful regular-season opportunity. The Bills could also get Ty Johnson back after he fully participated Wednesday and Thursday, creating several options for Joe Brady as Buffalo determines its gameday roster. Plus, the Chargers enter the matchup with their own lengthy injury report, while Buffalo’s defense looks for its first interception of the season against Justin Herbert. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #SkylerBell Photo Credit: Gregory Fisher IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Is Chargers Week 3 a TRAP GAME? Buffalo’s Defense Has a HUGE Opportunity
The Buffalo Bills are 2-0. The Los Angeles Chargers are 0-2. Buffalo has had extra time to prepare, and the Chargers are dealing with injuries and a difficult start to the season. So why does this Week 3 matchup still feel like a potential trap game? On this episode of Locked On Bills HIT, Christian Rauh explains why he is cautious about overlooking Justin Herbert and Jim Harbaugh, even with the Bills playing well and Los Angeles searching for its first win. The Chargers opened the season with losses to the Arizona Cardinals and Las Vegas Raiders. Their upcoming schedule does not offer much relief, with games against Buffalo, Seattle, Denver, Kansas City, the Rams, Houston and Baltimore. Christian discusses why that difficult stretch could increase the urgency for a Chargers team trying to avoid falling further behind. Herbert has also had a rough start. According to the numbers discussed in the episode, he ranks 22nd in passing yards and 21st in passing touchdowns through two weeks, while throwing the second-most interceptions in the NFL. Injuries along the offensive line and at wide receiver have added to Los Angeles’ problems. But Christian’s biggest question is what Buffalo’s defense can do about it. The Raiders recorded three sacks, two interceptions, four forced fumbles and a safety against the Chargers while holding them to 14 points. Could Jim Leonhard’s Bills defense create similar problems for Herbert? Buffalo’s defense had questions to answer after its opener against the Houston Texans, particularly in the secondary. Christian saw encouraging improvements in the pass rush against the Detroit Lions, but he believes this matchup could be an opportunity for the entire defense to take another step forward. The episode also examines comments from Chargers captain Khalil Mack about Jim Harbaugh’s postgame message, the injuries affecting Los Angeles and why a team with Herbert at quarterback remains dangerous regardless of its record. And there is another wrinkle for Bills fans: Buffalo is preparing to debut its Nickel City alternate uniforms. Christian hopes the occasion is remembered for a statement performance, not an unexpected loss. Is Bills vs. Chargers a trap game? Can Leonhard’s defense force Herbert into mistakes? And will Buffalo take care of business after its extended break? Dalton Kincaid Isn’t Just on a Hot Streak—He’s Rewriting Bills History
Dalton Kincaid is rewriting the Buffalo Bills record books, racking up 225 receiving yards in just two games and closing in on the franchise's single-season receiving mark for tight ends. After battling through a torn PCL last season, Kincaid now leads a formidable receiving corps alongside DJ Moore and Khalil Shakir, posing matchup nightmares for opposing defenses. Josh Allen's MVP form is bolstered by Kincaid's breakout, DJ Moore's emergence, and the game-changing presence of NFL rushing leader James Cook. With continuity on the offensive line and consistent playmakers like Keon Coleman stepping up, can this high-octane Bills offense top the NFL in 2026? The countdown is on: how soon will Kincaid shatter Paul Costa's decades-old franchise record? Photo Credit: Troy Taormina IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! DJ Moore Injury Update Is GOOD NEWS for Bills! | Keon Coleman Steps Up BIG
The Buffalo Bills have received encouraging news about DJ Moore’s shoulder injury after their 41-31 win over the Detroit Lions. According to the report discussed on today’s Bills HIT, Moore’s injury is not considered serious, and he is day to day. He has a chance to play against the Los Angeles Chargers, although his availability is not guaranteed. Christian Rauh breaks down what the update means for Buffalo’s offense and why the 10-day break between games could help Moore recover. But the biggest takeaway from Thursday night might be how the Bills’ other pass catchers responded. Keon Coleman caught all six of his targets for 63 yards, returned after tweaking his ankle, and earned praise from Joe Brady for his football IQ. Could this be a turning point for Coleman’s role in the offense? Joshua Palmer found the end zone for the second straight game, Khalil Shakir contributed, and Dalton Kincaid continued his impressive start to the season. Meanwhile, Josh Allen accounted for five touchdowns as Buffalo moved to 2-0. How encouraged are you by Moore’s injury update, and should Coleman have a bigger role even after Moore returns? Josh Allen EXPLODES for 5 TDs! Bills Beat Lions 41-31 in New Highmark Stadium Debut
Josh Allen delivered FIVE touchdowns as the Buffalo Bills beat the Detroit Lions 41-31 in the first regular-season game at New Highmark Stadium! Buffalo is 2-0, but the win also brought a new injury concern for DJ Moore. On this postgame Bills HIT, Christian Rauh breaks down Allen’s huge night: 248 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, 69 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. James Cook added 135 rushing yards and a touchdown, while Dalton Kincaid led Buffalo’s receivers with seven catches for 95 yards and a score. The biggest offensive concern is Moore, who left the game with a shoulder injury after being targeted in the end zone. He finished without a catch, and Buffalo will be looking for updates during its 10-day break. Defensively, the Bills stepped up despite Ed Oliver’s late scratch. Greg Rousseau recorded two sacks, Bradley Chubb added 1.5, and Buffalo finished with four sacks. Still, allowing 31 points raises questions about what Jim Leonhard’s defense needs to clean up. Ed Oliver OUT vs. Lions After Pregame Injury! Bills’ Defensive Line Takes a HUGE Hit
Ed Oliver is OUT for the Buffalo Bills’ Week 2 matchup against the Detroit Lions after injuring his hip during pregame warmups. With T.J. Sanders also inactive, Buffalo’s defensive line faces an unexpected challenge in the first regular-season game at New Highmark Stadium. On today’s Bills HIT, Christian Rauh breaks down the official inactive list and what Oliver’s absence means for defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard. Oliver played 65 defensive snaps against the Houston Texans in Week 1, the most of any Bills defensive lineman. Now Deone Walker, DeWayne Carter and Greg Gaines may need to take on significantly larger roles. Could Buffalo also adjust how it uses Landon Jackson? We also cover the rest of the inactive list. Ty Johnson and rookie Skyler Bell are out again, while practice squad elevations Frank Gore Jr. and Greg Dortch are available. Dortch appears likely to continue handling punt returns after a strong Week 1 showing. Christian is sticking with his 38–28 Bills win prediction, but Oliver’s late injury adds a major question to a matchup that could already put plenty of pressure on Buffalo’s defense. Josh Allen Can Make HISTORY in Buffalo Bills' First Game at New Highmark Stadium
The Buffalo Bills are about to make history! Josh Allen and the Bills host the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night Football in the first official regular-season game at the brand-new Highmark Stadium. On today's Bills HIT, Christian Rauh reflects on what this moment means for Bills Mafia and delivers his Buffalo Bills vs. Detroit Lions score prediction, along with his picks for who will score the first official touchdown in the new stadium. After decades of memories at the old stadium, Buffalo begins a new chapter with a new head coach, a different offensive identity and Josh Allen leading the way. Can the Bills open their new home with a win? Christian predicts a high-scoring matchup against Detroit, with Jahmyr Gibbs presenting a challenge for Buffalo's defense. He also has two possibilities for the historic first Bills touchdown: a Josh Allen rushing score or an Allen touchdown pass to DJ Moore. Final score prediction: Bills 38, Lions 28. The Buffalo Bills May Have FINALLY Solved This Problem
One of the Buffalo Bills' biggest question marks entering the season may already look a lot less concerning. Special teams. Greg Dortch was elevated for Week 1 and gave Buffalo exactly what it needed in the return game. The punt-return numbers weren't spectacular, but he was secure with the football and consistently gave Josh Allen's offense possession without creating unnecessary drama. Ray Davis also flashed in the kick-return game as Buffalo finished with 133 yards on five returns. Then there's Tyler Bass. After all the questions surrounding Buffalo's kicking situation, Bass opened the season a perfect 3-for-3 on field goals and 3-for-3 on extra points. And even rookie punter Tommy Doman Jr. got in on the action with a 63-yard punt that rolled inside the 10. It's only one game. But after all the special-teams uncertainty surrounding Buffalo this offseason? Week 1 provided a LOT of encouraging answers. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #GregDortch Photo Credit: Troy Taormina IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Greg Rousseau Looks PERFECT for Jim Leonhard’s Defense
Greg Rousseau had some questions to answer entering the Buffalo Bills' new defensive era. After one game under Jim Leonhard? He looks just fine. Rousseau recorded two sacks in Buffalo's 36-31 win over Houston and looked extremely comfortable operating in his new role. It was his sixth career multi-sack game — and Buffalo is now 6-0 when Rousseau gets at least two sacks. But the Bills defense wasn't perfect. Far from it. Houston scored 31 points and tested Buffalo throughout the afternoon, particularly when C.J. Stroud had enough time to let routes develop. Jim Leonhard, however, came away from the film believing his defense was closer than the final numbers suggested. Now he's already identified something he wants changed. Buffalo's defensive stars played a TON of snaps against Houston, and Leonhard wants more from the next wave of the rotation. On a short week against an explosive Detroit offense, we could see a different approach Thursday night. #BuffaloBills #GregRousseau #BillsMafia Photo Credit: Ken Blaze IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Josh Allen Just Showed Why This Bills Offense Is DIFFERENT
Josh Allen's game-winning touchdown against Houston may have shown us exactly why this Buffalo Bills offense is different in 2026. The touchdown to Joshua Palmer wasn't supposed to go there. Allen said Buffalo had NEVER repped the ball going to Palmer on that play. But when Houston's safety cheated toward DJ Moore, Allen recognized it and made the Texans pay. That's what having a legitimate WR1 can do for an offense — even when he doesn't touch the football. And Moore made plenty of plays himself. He finished his Bills debut with five receptions for 100 yards, immediately establishing himself as one of Josh Allen's primary weapons alongside Dalton Kincaid and Khalil Shakir. Maybe “everybody eats” isn't Buffalo's offensive identity anymore. Maybe Joe Brady can finally build this thing around a defined group of elite weapons and let Josh Allen find the matchup he wants. If Houston was our first look? This Bills offense could be a problem. #BuffaloBills #JoshAllen #BillsMafia Photo Credit: Thomas Shea IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! REACTION: Buffalo Bills FINALLY Win in Houston, Beat Texans 36-31
The House of Horrors is OVER. The Buffalo Bills open the Joe Brady era with an incredible 36-31 road win over the Houston Texans, giving Josh Allen his first career victory in Houston and Buffalo its first win there since 2006. And Josh Allen was ridiculous. 334 passing yards. Two passing touchdowns. Two rushing touchdowns. DJ Moore immediately showed what a true WR1 can bring to this offense, Khalil Shakir was attacking beyond the short passing game, and Dalton Kincaid exploded for 130 receiving yards. Defensively? There are things Jim Leonhard needs to fix. Houston tested Buffalo throughout the game, the secondary had some communication problems and the run defense wasn't where it needs to be. But when the Bills absolutely HAD to make a play, the defense delivered. Two sacks on Houston's final drive. A strip-sack to finish it. Ballgame. There will be plenty to clean up before Thursday night's home opener against Detroit. But Buffalo is 1-0. And Josh Allen's Houston nightmare is finally over. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #JoshAllen #NFL Photo Credit: Troy Taormina IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Ty Johnson Gives Buffalo Bills Something It NEEDS Against Houston
The Buffalo Bills could be getting Ty Johnson back at exactly the right time. Johnson practiced Friday and is officially questionable against Houston, but Joe Brady sounds comfortable trusting the veteran running back if he's medically cleared. And against THIS Texans defense, that could matter. James Cook is still RB1. Ray Davis will get his opportunities. But Ty Johnson knows this offense, can contribute as a receiver and — maybe most importantly this week — can help protect Josh Allen against Will Anderson Jr., Danielle Hunter and Houston's pass rush. Then there's Greg Dortch. Dortch has 99 career punt returns and plenty of experience doing exactly what Buffalo needs. But Joe Brady raised an important question: Can the Bills afford to use a game-day roster spot on someone who only returns punts? Dortch may need to prove he can contribute somewhere else before Buffalo elevates him from the practice squad. Ty Johnson needs to prove he's healthy enough to play. Greg Dortch needs to prove he can do enough to play. Two completely different Week 1 questions for the Buffalo Bills. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #JoshAllen #TyJohnson #GregDortch #NFL Photo Credit: Dale Zanine IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! The Buffalo Bills Just Caught a BREAK Before Facing Houston
The Buffalo Bills just caught two potentially important breaks on their 2026 schedule. First, Houston will be without rookie defensive tackle Caden McDonald against Buffalo. No, that doesn't suddenly make the Texans defense easy. Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter are still terrifying, and Houston sacked Josh Allen eight times in this matchup last season. But McDonald's absence gives Houston one fewer big body to rotate through the middle. And that gives Buffalo another reason to FEED James Cook. Make those edge rushers defend the run. Attack the interior. Don't turn this into Josh Allen dropping back 45 times against one of the NFL's best pass rushes. Then we look ahead to the AFC East. A.J. Brown is heading to IR, meaning he will miss New England's Week 4 matchup against Buffalo. That's a massive weapon Jim Leonhard's defense won't have to worry about. Two injuries. Two changes to Buffalo's schedule. And the NFL season hasn't even really gotten started yet. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #JoshAllen #JamesCook #NFL Photo Credit: Troy Taormina IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Josh Allen Has Some BAD History to Erase in Houston
There is one NFL city where NOTHING seems to go right for Josh Allen. Houston. Four trips. Four losses. An elbow injury. A blown 16-point playoff lead. A 9-for-30 passing performance. And last season, a career-high eight sacks. At some point, this stops feeling like a coincidence. But Josh Allen gets another opportunity to end his Houston nightmare when the Buffalo Bills open the season against the Texans. And there's one major difference this time. This might be the best Buffalo offense Houston has faced during the Josh Allen era. DJ Moore gives Allen another legitimate veteran weapon. Khalil Shakir is working his way back. Keon Coleman enters Year 3. James Cook is coming off a monster season. And Buffalo's tight end room gives Joe Brady plenty of different ways to attack Houston. But this doesn't need to become a Josh Allen revenge game. Run James Cook. Utilize the tight ends. Get the football out quickly. Make DJ Moore dangerous after the catch. And most importantly, don't let Houston's pass rush turn this into last year's nightmare. Josh Allen doesn't need 400 yards and five touchdowns. He needs one thing he's never gotten in Houston: A win. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #JoshAllen #Bills #NFL Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! The Buffalo Bills Have a HUGE Advantage Houston Can’t Prepare For
The Buffalo Bills have one HUGE advantage against the Houston Texans that might be impossible for C.J. Stroud to completely prepare for. Nobody knows exactly what Jim Leonhard's defense is going to look like. Buffalo kept things relatively vanilla throughout the preseason. We've heard all offseason about different fronts, disguised pressures, moving players around and finding ways to create favorable matchups. Now? There's no reason to hide anything. Even Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans acknowledged the challenge Houston faces preparing for a new Bills defense without meaningful tape on what Leonhard actually wants to do. And I think the matchup makes this even more interesting. Houston enters Week 1 with legitimate questions along its offensive line, particularly with youth on the left side. That's exactly where I want Leonhard to attack. Move Ed Oliver around. Find matchups for Greg Rousseau and Bradley Chubb. Put five defenders at the line of scrimmage and make C.J. Stroud figure out who's actually coming. Don't simply ask your defensive linemen to beat their guy. Create the matchup. We've spent the entire offseason wondering what Jim Leonhard has been building in Buffalo. Sunday, we finally get the answer. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #Bills #JimLeonhard #CJStroud #NFL Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Buffalo’s REAL Punt Returner Might Not Be on the Roster Yet
The Buffalo Bills finally named their Week 1 punt returner. Or did they? Buffalo's first unofficial depth chart lists Dee Alford as the starting punt returner, followed by Ray Davis and Khalil Shakir. But I'm not convinced any of those three will actually take Buffalo's first punt return of the season. Why? Greg Dortch. Dortch is currently on Buffalo's practice squad, which means he can't be listed on the unofficial depth chart. But the Bills can elevate him on game day. And after everything we've heard about Dortch and his ability as a return specialist, I think that's exactly what's going to happen. Alford has experience returning punts. Ray Davis desperately wanted the job throughout training camp. Shakir gives Buffalo another emergency option. But Dortch has made a career in the NFL largely because of what he provides on special teams. He also gives Buffalo something else. A sixth receiver. The Bills currently have only five receivers on the active roster, so elevating Dortch could give Joe Brady another offensive option while simultaneously addressing one of Buffalo's biggest special-teams questions. The interesting question then becomes: Whose game-day jersey does Dortch take? Could Keleki Latu be inactive? Could Buffalo make a surprising decision at receiver? We'll find out soon enough. But I'm making my prediction now. Greg Dortch gets elevated from the practice squad for Week 1. And Greg Dortch takes the Buffalo Bills' first punt return of the 2026 season. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #GregDortch #JoshAllen #NFL Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Keon Coleman Just Got Some VERY Good News From the Bills
The Buffalo Bills have released their first unofficial depth chart of the 2026 season, and Keon Coleman just got some VERY good news. Coleman is listed ahead of Joshua Palmer entering Buffalo's Week 1 matchup against the Houston Texans. And after what we saw during the preseason, I'm not sure that's particularly surprising. Coleman had the better preseason, especially when Buffalo put its first-team offense on the field. We heard plenty of positive things about Palmer throughout training camp, but we didn't necessarily see that translate into the preseason games. Now Coleman gets the early edge. Can he take advantage of it? That's only one of four things that caught my attention on Buffalo's first depth chart. Dorian Williams is officially ahead of Kaleb Elarms-Orr after what Buffalo described as an open competition at linebacker. Williams is entering a contract year, and KEO could eventually be the long-term answer at the position. But the Bills aren't building for 2027 right now. They're trying to win a Super Bowl. If Williams gives Buffalo its best chance to do that, I'm perfectly fine with him getting the first opportunity. Then we've got a number change for Maxwell Hairston. Goodbye No. 31. Hello No. 1. And finally, Dee Alford's placement on this depth chart could help explain one of my biggest concerns with Buffalo's initial 53-man roster. Alford is listed as the starting nickel AND a backup outside corner. Combine that with Jordan Hancock's ability to play nickel, and suddenly Buffalo has a little more flexibility in the secondary than the roster numbers initially suggested. It's unofficial. It's Week 1. But Buffalo's first depth chart gave us plenty to talk about. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #KeonColeman #JoshAllen #NFL Photo Credit: Mark Konezny IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Sean McDermott Just Made a HUGE Buffalo Bills Prediction
Sean McDermott is no longer the head coach of the Buffalo Bills. But apparently, he STILL believes this team is going to the Super Bowl. McDermott joined The Rich Eisen Show and was asked for his Super Bowl prediction. His answer? Bills-Rams. Think about the irony of that for a second. McDermott spent nine seasons trying to get Buffalo over that final playoff hurdle. He went 98-50. He helped end a 17-year playoff drought. He completely changed the expectations surrounding this franchise. Eventually, those expectations became the reason Buffalo moved on. Making the playoffs wasn't enough anymore. Winning the division wasn't enough. The question became whether Sean McDermott could win the Buffalo Bills a Super Bowl. Terry Pegula eventually decided somebody else needed an opportunity to answer that question. Now Joe Brady takes over — and McDermott himself is predicting Buffalo finally gets there. And I'll give McDermott a lot of credit. He could've been bitter. Instead, he praised what Brandon Beane has done with the roster, expressed confidence in Joe Brady and made it clear he's still rooting for Buffalo. McDermott also pointed out something important. Joe Brady isn't inheriting the organization McDermott inherited. McDermott walked into a franchise that hadn't made the playoffs in 17 years. Brady is taking over a team McDermott believes is already standing at the doorstep of the Super Bowl. Then there's McDermott's own future. He's taking 2026 off. But he absolutely wants to coach again. McDermott says he still has the burning desire to win a championship and wants another opportunity as an NFL head coach. And I think he'll eventually get one. You can criticize how the McDermott era ended without pretending his entire tenure in Buffalo was a failure. Now imagine the future storyline. Joe Brady succeeds in Buffalo. McDermott gets another AFC head coaching job. And one day, Sean McDermott has to go THROUGH the Buffalo Bills to win the championship he never won here. Give me that playoff game. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #SeanMcDermott #JoeBrady #Bills #NFL Photo Credit: Mark Konezny Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Bills Mafia Has a HUGE Decision to Make About New Highmark Stadium
Bills Mafia has been given one of the first BIG decisions at New Highmark Stadium. Please don't screw this up. The Buffalo Bills are letting fans vote on the end-zone color for the first regular-season game inside their new stadium when Buffalo hosts the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night Football. And there is only one acceptable answer. RED. Bring back the old-school red end zones. Buffalo used them during the '90s, and now the Bills have an opportunity to carry a piece of that history into an entirely new era. Just imagine it. New stadium. Primetime. Bills Mafia going insane. Josh Allen scores the first Bills touchdown inside the building and runs into a bright red end zone. That's what I want. And apparently Bills Mafia agrees. When I last checked the voting, red had already jumped out to a commanding early lead. Good. This isn't a vote. It's a test. Then we're talking about one of the strangest home-field advantage stories I've heard in a LONG time. Because what were the New England Patriots doing with the video board at Gillette Stadium? Ryan Paganetti reviewed a decade of film and found examples of the stadium video board displaying a reverse view behind the goalposts during opposing field-goal attempts, potentially creating the appearance of another offset set of yellow uprights. And here's where it gets REALLY interesting. He reviewed 52 Patriots field-goal attempts and said the illusion appeared during New England's kicks exactly ZERO times. So what do we call that? Cheating? Gamesmanship? Or just an incredibly diabolical home-field advantage? I haven't seen evidence that it was actually illegal. But I definitely want to know what Bills Mafia thinks. And when it comes to New Highmark Stadium? RED END ZONES. There's only one answer. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #Bills #JoshAllen #HighmarkStadium #NFL Photo Credit: Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Buffalo Bills May Have Just SOLVED Their Punt Return Problem
The Buffalo Bills might have just found their punt returner. And I'm starting to wonder why they would continue experimenting with Ray Davis in the first place. Buffalo entered roster cuts with a legitimate question on special teams after Davis muffed a punt against Pittsburgh and Mecole Hardman was eventually released. Then Greg Dortch arrived. Dortch is officially on the Bills practice squad, but this doesn't feel like a normal depth signing. Brandon Beane specifically mentioned Dortch when discussing Buffalo's options in the return game alongside Khalil Shakir, Dee Alford and Ray Davis. And the more you look at Dortch's experience, the more obvious this feels. Dortch averaged 11.6 yards per punt return last season, finishing inside the NFL's top 10. More importantly? He takes care of the football. That's ALL I need. The Bills don't need Devin Hester returning punts. They need someone who can make the right decision, secure the football and give Josh Allen possession. Dortch has 99 career punt returns and has openly talked about how that specific skill has helped keep him in the NFL for eight years. Meanwhile, Davis hadn't returned punts since high school before Buffalo started developing him there. Why force it? Let Davis focus on being James Cook's backup and contributing elsewhere on special teams. If Buffalo likes him on kick returns, fine. But on punts? Give me the guy who's been doing it for years. Elevating Dortch on game day could potentially solve two problems at once. Buffalo gets an experienced punt returner AND a sixth receiver available behind its five-man active receiver room. Maybe Brandon Beane ultimately goes in another direction. But entering Week 1, Greg Dortch feels like the most obvious answer Buffalo has. Put the football in his hands. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #Bills #GregDortch #RayDavis #JoshAllen #NFL Photo Credit: Paul Barnick IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Brandon Beane Just Changed How We Should Look at the Bills Roster
The Buffalo Bills only kept three true outside corners, four inside linebackers and five wide receivers on their initial 53-man roster. That sounds risky. But Brandon Beane just explained why Buffalo might not be nearly as thin as those numbers suggest. The Bills aren't really looking at this as a 53-man roster. With 16 practice squad spots, an international exemption and the ability to elevate two players on game day, Buffalo is essentially managing a pool of nearly 70 players throughout the season. And Joe Brady took that idea even further. There could be certain matchups where a player on the practice squad is actually ahead of someone on the active roster because Buffalo believes that player gives them something they need that week. That completely changes how we should look at some of the Bills' biggest roster questions. Especially at cornerback and linebacker. Buffalo already has potential answers sitting on the practice squad, including veteran linebacker Shaq Thompson and another boundary corner option in Connie Walker. Then there's Greg Dortch. Buffalo still hasn't completely settled its punt returner situation, and Dortch has years of experience doing exactly that. More importantly, he emphasized making the right decisions and protecting the football — something that matters even more after Ray Davis' costly preseason muff. Could Dortch actually be elevated as early as Week 1 against Houston? That's why this doesn't feel like a normal practice squad. Brandon Beane and Joe Brady are building a roster where the final 53 isn't really the final 53. And some of these players could matter much sooner than we think. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #Bills #NFL #BrandonBeane #JoshAllen Photo Credit: Shawn Dowd IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Bills Just REVEALED What Their Offense Will Look Like
The Buffalo Bills kept FOUR tight ends and ZERO fullbacks on their initial 53-man roster. That might tell us a lot about what Joe Brady wants this offense to become. Buffalo kept Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Knox, Jackson Hawes and Kaliki Latu while moving on from its traditional fullbacks. But I don't think that means the Bills are abandoning everything a fullback brought to this offense. They may just be changing WHO does it. Hawes and Latu potentially give Buffalo players who can motion across the formation, operate as H-backs, lead block and handle some of the dirty work in the running game. And that could have a major impact on Dalton Kincaid. Instead of consistently asking Kincaid to handle traditional tight end responsibilities, Buffalo could move him around the formation and create mismatches as a receiver. Four tight ends doesn't necessarily mean four players doing the same job. It could give Brady four completely different pieces to work with. Then there's seventh-round rookie Ar'maj Reed-Adams. Reed-Adams played well enough throughout the preseason that Buffalo ultimately decided it couldn't risk exposing him to waivers. The Bills kept 10 offensive linemen despite Reed-Adams currently offering limited positional versatility. That tells me something. Buffalo believes there's something worth developing. Maybe Reed-Adams spends 2026 learning behind veterans like Alec Anderson and Austin Corbett. And maybe, when we're talking about Buffalo's offensive line next offseason, the Bills already have another legitimate option sitting on their roster. For a seventh-round pick? That's exactly the kind of developmental win you're looking for. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #DaltonKincaid #JoeBrady #Bills #NFL #BillsNews Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Bills Made TWO Defensive Decisions I Did NOT See Coming
The Buffalo Bills have their initial 53-man roster. And there are TWO defensive decisions I did not see coming. First, Buffalo is entering the week with only three true outside cornerbacks: Christian Benford, Maxwell Hairston and Davison Igbinosun. That's surprisingly light for a team that has spent so much time talking about improving its cornerback depth. So why would Brandon Beane be comfortable doing it? Jordan Hancock might be the answer. Hancock's emergence in the slot potentially gives Buffalo some flexibility with Taron Johnson, who has experience playing outside if the Bills need another option. But I'm still not convinced this cornerback room is finished. Then there's the EDGE room. Buffalo kept SIX outside linebackers, including Mike Danna. Danna had a good camp and brings NFL experience and positional versatility, but I didn't expect Buffalo to go this heavy at the position. And I have a theory about why they couldn't risk cutting him. What happens if Buffalo releases Danna and Kansas City immediately calls? Danna spent the first six years of his NFL career with the Chiefs. Kansas City knows exactly what he provides, and Buffalo knows it could potentially be handing a useful veteran right back to one of its biggest AFC competitors. Was that actually part of Brandon Beane's thinking? Maybe. Either way, six outside linebackers and only three true outside corners might be the most fascinating defensive decision on Buffalo's initial 53. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #Bills #BrandonBeane #MikeDanna #NFL #BillsNews Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Bills May Have Quietly Made a HUGE Roster Decision
The Buffalo Bills might have given us a major clue about their starting linebacker competition Thursday night. Dorian Williams didn't play. Kaleb Elarms-Orr did. After spending training camp hearing about a legitimate competition between Williams and KEO, that's difficult to completely ignore. It doesn't guarantee Williams starts every snap against Houston. Buffalo could still rotate its linebackers. But when other players the Bills appear to view as starters were also held out of the preseason finale, Williams joining them on the sideline certainly feels significant. And after waiting since 2023 for this opportunity, Williams might finally have his starting job. But Buffalo's other linebacker battle just became much more complicated. If the Bills keep only four inside linebackers, Terrel Bernard, Williams and Elarms-Orr appear to occupy three spots. That could leave Joe Andreessen vs. Keonta Jenkins for the final one. Andreessen couldn't make his final argument against Pittsburgh because of an apparent injury. Jenkins did. He recorded a sack on Pittsburgh's first offensive play, made another big third-down tackle and showed the speed, coverage ability and versatility that could fit extremely well in Jim Leonhard's defense. Buffalo Joe might be the better traditional linebacker. But Jenkins might have the skill set that's harder for Buffalo to replace. And that could make this one of the toughest decisions on the entire 53-man roster. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #DorianWilliams #JoeAndreessen #KeontaJenkins #KalebElarmsOrr #BillsNews #NFL Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Bills Have a Problem That Could Cost Them a Game
The Buffalo Bills preseason is over, but there's still one problem I don't think they've solved. Who do you actually trust to return punts? I'm not asking Buffalo to find the next Devin Hester. Just catch the football and give Josh Allen another possession. That's why what happened against Pittsburgh concerns me. Ray Davis has been getting opportunities at punt returner throughout the preseason, but after muffing what appeared to be a routine punt against Pittsburgh, the Steelers quickly turned the mistake into a touchdown. Imagine that happening in Week 1. Buffalo's defense gets a huge stop. Josh Allen is waiting on the sideline for another possession. And he never gets it. That's the problem. But this could also impact Buffalo's final 53-man roster. Mecole Hardman gives the Bills an experienced return option, but keeping him could complicate the WR6 decision with Trent Sherfield. And I really like what Sherfield gives Buffalo. He had four catches for 54 yards against Cleveland, contributes as a gunner and has received praise from Joe Brady for his receiving, special teams ability and leadership. So what does Buffalo do? Trust Davis? Keep Hardman? Use Khalil Shakir or Keon Coleman? Find somebody outside the organization? Brandon Beane said roughly 50 roster spots were already locked in entering the preseason finale. This seemingly boring punt-return question could help determine one of the final three. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #JoshAllen #RayDavis #MecoleHardman #TrentSherfield #BillsNews #NFL Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. REACTION: Bills Finish Preseason 3-0 | Skyler Bell SHINES, Joe Brady Sends a Message
The Buffalo Bills are officially your undefeated preseason champions. Hang the banner. Okay, maybe not. But Buffalo closed out the preseason 3-0 with a 28-27 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, and there was plenty to like from the finale. Shane Buechele got the entire game at quarterback and made the most of his opportunity. Playing behind a makeshift offensive line, Buechele finished 26-of-38 for 196 yards and helped lead Buffalo down the field for the eventual game-winning score. Then Joe Brady made my favorite decision of the night. Go for two. Go win the game. Yes, it's preseason. But for a first-year head coach trying to establish a culture and turn this into a player-led locker room, I think those little decisions matter. And then there's Skyler Bell. What a debut. The rookie led Buffalo in both rushing and receiving, catching seven passes for 49 yards on 10 targets while adding a 28-yard touchdown on an end-around. After injuries kept Bell out of Buffalo's first two preseason games, he finally got his opportunity — and absolutely took advantage of it. T.J. Parker flashed defensively. Daequan Jenkins made another strong case for a roster spot. Buffalo's defense made the stop when it needed one late. There were mistakes, particularly on special teams, and we'll get into those. But overall? There's a lot to feel good about as the Bills turn their attention toward roster cuts and Week 1. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #SkylerBell #ShaneBuechele #JoeBrady #TJParker #BillsNews #NFL Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. These Buffalo Bills Have ONE Last Chance
The Buffalo Bills preseason finale doesn't matter in the standings. For several players fighting for jobs and roles? It could be one of the most important games they play all year. Kyle Allen has one more opportunity to finally end Buffalo's QB2 competition. After going 10-of-12 for 128 yards and a touchdown against Cleveland, I thought he had already won the job. Joe Brady says the competition with Shane Buechele is still ongoing. Fine. Settle it against Pittsburgh. Then there are Ja'Marrick Maclin and Ian Wheeler. Maclin exploded for 108 receiving yards against Cleveland, while Wheeler continues showing the quick, physical running style that's made him one of Buffalo's more intriguing preseason players. Now both have another opportunity to make themselves extremely difficult to expose to waivers. And defensively, my eyes are on T.J. Sanders. Buffalo's 2025 second-round pick is entering Year 2, and it's time to start seeing more. I'm not calling him a bust. I don't need three sacks. I need a few reps where Sanders' athleticism and physicality jump off the screen and remind us why Buffalo invested such a valuable pick in him. Preseason Week 3 is about the final 53. And these Bills have one last chance to make their case. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #KyleAllen #TJSanders #JaMarrickMaclin #IanWheeler #NFL Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Skyler Bell’s Bills Opportunity Just Got MUCH Bigger
Skyler Bell and Dorian Williams aren't fighting to make the Buffalo Bills roster Thursday night. They're fighting for something much more interesting: their Week 1 roles. Bell hasn't appeared in a preseason game yet, but that should change against Cleveland. Joe Brady says the fourth-round rookie had an outstanding offseason and Buffalo deliberately avoided rushing him back before he was fully healthy. Now the circumstances around him have changed. With injuries throughout Buffalo's receiver room, Bell could be needed earlier than originally expected. Josh Allen praised the rookie for taking mental reps, learning the offense and asking veterans like DJ Moore and Joshua Palmer questions while he couldn't practice. Thursday isn't about Bell putting up 100 yards. It's about proving he can operate Buffalo's offense at NFL speed. Then there's Dorian Williams. He's waited years for a legitimate opportunity to become a starting linebacker in Buffalo. Now he's finally getting it — except Kaleb Elarms-Orr has turned it into a legitimate competition. Williams is entering a contract year. He knows this opportunity could determine his future in Buffalo. Two players. Two very different battles. And Thursday could tell us a lot about where both fit when Week 1 arrives. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #SkylerBell #DorianWilliams #KalebElarmsOrr #BillsNews #NFL Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Buffalo Bills Can’t HIDE These Two Players Anymore
The Buffalo Bills have two preseason standouts who might be making themselves too difficult to hide on the practice squad. Start with Ian Wheeler. Wheeler carried the ball 14 times for 56 yards against Cleveland, but the numbers aren't what make him interesting. It's how he runs — quick, explosive and twitchy before becoming physical and violent once contact arrives. Buffalo already has James Cook, Ray Davis and Ty Johnson, with Frank Gore Jr. also competing for an opportunity. But Wheeler has now put enough on tape that Buffalo has to consider whether he'd actually clear waivers. And Ja’Marrick Maclin may have created the same problem. The undrafted rookie exploded for 108 yards and a touchdown on just two receptions against Cleveland, including a 71-yard catch and run. Joe Brady's reaction was even more encouraging. He praised Maclin's intelligence and ability to play multiple receiver positions while explaining how Maclin remained mentally engaged despite injuries costing him valuable offseason opportunities. Neither Wheeler nor Maclin entered camp with a guaranteed roster spot. Now the question isn't whether Buffalo likes them. It's whether the Bills can risk letting the rest of the NFL have them. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #IanWheeler #JaMarrickMaclin #JoeBrady #BillsNews #NFL Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Greg Gaines Just CHANGED the Buffalo Bills Defensive Line
Greg Gaines might be considerably more important to the Buffalo Bills defense than we originally thought. And it starts with Deone Walker. Gaines showed exactly what an experienced nose tackle can provide against Cleveland: stack blockers, control his space, reset the line of scrimmage and handle the dirty work inside. That could give Jim Leonhard significantly more freedom with Walker. Instead of asking a player with Walker's size and athleticism to constantly live at nose tackle and absorb double teams, Buffalo can move him around the defensive front, attack favorable matchups and potentially create more one-on-one opportunities for Walker and Ed Oliver. But there's another side to the Gaines addition. What does it mean for Dwayne Carter? Carter made plays against Cleveland, including a tackle for loss and getting his hands on a pass. But he was also playing deep into the fourth quarter — something worth monitoring this late in the preseason. Buffalo's defensive line is getting crowded. If Gaines proves he can reliably handle those interior snaps, Carter could suddenly find himself fighting for his place on the 53-man roster. Greg Gaines might simultaneously make Deone Walker more dangerous and create one of Buffalo's most surprising roster decisions. #BuffaloBills #BillsMafia #GregGaines #DeoneWalker #DwayneCarter #JimLeonhard #NFL Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
