The Gospel According To Social Media - The Dangers of Internet Theology
There’s a version of Christianity being promoted online right now that sounds freeing, loving, and enlightened — but quietly strips away truth. “Jesus didn’t come to start a religion.” “The Bible was voted on centuries later by politicians.” “The Old Testament God isn’t the same as Jesus.” “Don't listen to the Bible — just follow Jesus.” These statements sound spiritual… until you actually test them biblically and historically. Jesus didn’t leave us with vague spirituality. He commissioned apostles, promised the Holy Spirit would guide them into truth, and commanded them to teach everything He said. That’s why Scripture exists. The Bible wasn’t invented by Constantine, and Christians don’t worship a book — we worship the God who revealed Himself through His Word. The gospel is about freedom — but freedom only exists where truth exists. 🎙️ On this episode of the LIFTED Podcast, we’re addressing these claims head-on — with Scripture, church history, and clarity. If you’ve ever been told, “Do your own research”…We did.

Paul’s answer is clear:“By no means.”We discuss:God’s covenant faithfulnessIsrael’s partial hardeningThe grafting in of the Gentiles“All Israel will be saved”Why this matters for the gospel and the ChurchThis conversation isn’t driven by current events or political ideology, but by biblical theology and careful exegesis.

Elections and the Eternal Kingdom: Voting with a Biblical Worldview
In this episode, we dive deep into what it means to vote as a Christian and why we can't afford to stay silent on crucial issues. From the complexities of elections to the moral stand on topics like abortion, we challenge you to examine how your faith influences your choices at the polls. It's time to stand firm on the truth of God's Word and not be silent.🎧 Listen now and join the conversation about how our biblical worldview shapes how we engage with our country’s future! To be clear, I meant to add this thought but forgot around the 36:00 minute marker... Abortion (the murder of a child in the womb) is never ok, even in the low percentage where there is rape, incest, or the life of the mother is involved. That is not a justification for murder. Murder is not a solution. God still hates it & does not approve of it. We trust God in the midst of horrible circumstances & the unborn child should not pay the consequences for another's sin.)

In this episode, Colton & Ryan take a critical & controversial look at the "He Gets Us" ad campaign, exploring why its portrayal of Jesus may fall short of biblical truth. Does The Bible Contradict Itself? Can We Trust It?
In this episode, we have a special guest, Bryce Lovelady (one of our youth camp counselors at FUGE Camps). We tackle one of the most important questions for believers and skeptics alike: Can we trust the Bible? Is Scripture truly without error, or are there contradictions within its pages? We dive into the doctrine of inerrancy, exploring how the Bible, as God’s inspired Word, remains accurate, reliable, and trustworthy across time. We'll address some common claims of biblical contradictions and demonstrate why, when understood properly, God's Word is coherent and unified. As we break down the truth about Scripture’s divine authority, you'll be encouraged to deepen your confidence in the Bible as the ultimate source of truth for your life. A Biblical Response to Social Media - Responding To A Post On The Opening Ceremony Criticism
In this podcast, Colton & Ryan respond to a popular social media post that's been going around from Pastor Jacob Whitehead as a response to Christians for the 2024 Olympics opening ceremony. We dissect the post, point out what is admirable, & point out what is not. It's important to remember not only to be loving in our responses, but also to be correct since we not only love others... we also love the truth. Why is this important? It's funny to see people have an opinion on a particular topic that they are so passionate about, & then see them change their minds almost instantly the moment someone else says something different. It's almost as if they are "wavering and carried about with every wind of doctrine" (Ephesians 4:14). While it is important to listen to differing opinions & see a different perspective, it is also good to be able to have an opinion of your own & stand on what the Bible teaches unwaveringly.
The 2024 Olympics - The History, The Opening Ceremony, & A Biblical Worldview

Pride & Prejudice, Part 2
In Part 2 of this controversial, hot topic episode, the Lift youth leaders continue the talk about pride month, the topic of pride itself, the sin of sexual immorality (in all of it's forms) from Old to New Testament, & how it is biblically condemned by our God & Savior, Jesus Christ. *We are aware that this episode may offend people. We stand on the Bible as our source of truth.* Our goal is not hateful, but to spread the love & good news of the Gospel. If you are grieved by this message, we echo the same sentiment as the Apostle Paul when he said, "As it is, I rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because you were grieved into repenting." (2 Corinthians 7:9) We aim to do what we have always done... to proclaim the excellencies of him who called us out of darkness into his marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9), to call out what the Bible defines as sinful, to call unbelievers to repentance & faith in the one & only Savior, Jesus Christ, & to do so in a spirit of gentleness, respect, love, & truth (1 Peter 3:15; John 4:24, 1 Corinthians 13:6).

Worship: The Ultimate Priority
In this episode of LIFTED, we discuss the topic of worship & how it is the ultimate priority of our lives. The LIFTED Leaders are joined by special guests, Worship Team Members: Kelsie Sims & Mark Cantrell. Questions asked... What is worship? Why is music used in worship? What is the goal? Does Scripture provide any regulations on worship music or instruments used? Should we stay away from melodies and accompaniments that sound like secular music? Does that cater to a worldly standard? What standard is used to determine our churches worship music? Is it appropriate to use a song written by an artist or church with controversial theology? Or theology our church doesn’t align with? How can we distinguish between issues or morality and personal preference? (I.e the song "Reckless Love" comes upfront to my mind of this. A favorite of many young people) What should we do if we have concerns about the music our church is choosing? Article mentioned in the podcast: https://baptistandreflector.org/should-we-sing-those-songs/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR3cYuKQ_GkGRFV2uZ0JNg35FrQv1GUbXhes5wBC2qEFv_Op-2R0eAzCxY4_aem_AbJG9sBToTPMYLyOJaZI4g2nQh3PlVCLoB4a-TTSaJkVx4Xz5p23xeBXbqNkDCHo4K-WusdOA2KKWPvIeQihbeq5
